SWDRC Runners-up at National Championships
The Saffron Walden Juniors had a successfull trip to Hartpury, Gloucestershire on Sunday 29 March when they contested the British Riding Clubs National Championships for Novice Indoor Show Jumping.
The team of Becky Westerhuis & The Merlyn, Ella Westerhuis & Sweet William, Robert Barker & The Bees Knees and Tessa Olley & Bertie Bassett finished the first round on zero penalties, one of only two teams to do so. They picked up just 8 faults in the second round and with the fastest time of the teams tying on this score this was good enough to secure them second place in the competition.
Congratulations to all the riders and thank you to Alice Olley for the loan of her horse to Robert for this competition.
