Saffron Walden Runners Up at National Champions - Again!
Saffron Walden & District Riding Club's Junior team have returned home from their second British Riding Clubs National Championship of 2009 with another Reserve Championship.
The Eventer Trial (Show Jumping & Cross Country) team of Robert Barker & Iceford Spotty, Bethany Brown & Magic Roundabout, Tessa Olley & Bertie Bassett and Laura Birch & Kris travelled to Aston-le-Walls in Northamptonshire to contest the Finals on 30/31 May and finished with only time penalties to take 2nd place. The team also picked up the trophy for best team with all four scores to count and Tessa achieved 6th place individually.
SWDRC members Suzannah Engelmann & Mr Chubbs and Emily Duff & Jay Jay also competed at the Championships but were unplaced.
