RING 1      SHOW JUMPING (Jump off immediately after a clear round)      STARTS 09.00 hrs     

Class 1      Clear Round       Fences approx 60cm (2’0”)
09.00hrs      Rosettes to all clear rounds
Entry fees: £4 on the day only - payable at ringside (please ensure you have correct money)
Last declarations to be taken at ringside by 09.45hrs. No further entries will be taken after this time

Class 2      Minimus      Fences approx 60cm (2’0”) first round
10.00hrs      Combination of horse/pony and rider never to have been placed in a show jumping class

Class 3      Novice      Fences approx 75cm (2’6”) first round
10.00hrs      Combination of horse/pony and rider not to have won a show jumping class at Intermediate level or above

Class 4      Intermediate       Fences approx 82cm (2’9”) first round
11.30hrs      Horse/pony not to have won more than £75

Class 5      Small Open       Fences approx 90cm (3’0”) first round
14.00hrs      No restrictions

Class 6      Open       Fences approx 100cm (3’3”) first round
15.00hrs      No restrictions

Classes 2, 3, 5 & 6 will be judged as a two phase competition. (If a competitor completes a clear round the judge will indicate for them to continue straight on to the jump off course)

Classes will only be split between horse and pony if numbers allow (show jumping classes will not commence before times stated)


1st to 6th from classes 2-6 qualify for the SWDRC Show Jumping Championship to be held on 19 September. A SWDRC members show jumping points system will operate throughout the year. A junior and senior trophy is awarded to the horse/pony and rider combination with the most accumulative points over the series. Points are only awarded once membership has been paid.  Trophies are awarded at the AGM.

Class 7      Working Hunter Pony. Not exceeding 14.2hh. Competitors may not enter class 9
09.00hrs      Max height of fences 76cm (2’6”)

Class 8      Working Hunter Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh.
10.00hrs      Max height of fences 84cm (2’9”)

Class 9      Nursery Stakes. Not exceeding 13.2hh.
Competitors may not enter class 7
11.00hrs      Max height of fences 45cm (1’6”)
Not to have been placed in a Working Hunter Pony class – lead reins welcome


11.45hrs      WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP

approx      For 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 7, 8 and 9. Challenge trophy to Champion.

Class 10      Lead Rein
12.00hrs      Horse/pony to be led by an attendant aged over 16yrs and to be shown in a snaffle bridle. Rider any age.
Class 11      Hunter Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh.
13.00hrs     
Class 12      Hunter Pony. Not exceeding 14.2hh.

14.45hrs      HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP
approx      For 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 11 and 12. Challenge trophy to Champion.

Class 13      Veteran Horse/Pony. Ridden.
15.00hrs      Horse/pony aged over 16yrs.

Class 14      Best Conditioned Horse or Pony. In hand.
Horse/pony any age.

RING 3            STARTS 09.00 hrs
Class 15      Family Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh. (snaffle bridle only, no martingales)
09.00hrs      This class to be judged on the suitability of horse for all the family. May be asked to jump a small fence.
Class 16      Family Pony. Not exceeding 14.2hh. (snaffle bridle only, no martingales)
10.00hrs      This class to be judged on the suitability of pony for all the family. May be asked to jump a small fence.


10.45hrs      FAMILY HORSE/PONY CHAMPIONSHIP
approx      For 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 14 and 15. Challenge trophy to Champion.

Class 17            Riding Club Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh. Max height of fences 69cm (2’3”).
11.00hrs      This class to be judged on the suitability of horse for all Club activities and will be expected to jump

Class 18      Riding Club Pony. Not exceeding 14.2hh. Max height of fences 60cm (2’0”).
12.00hrs      This class to be judged on the suitability of pony for all Club activities and will be expected to jump.     


12.45hrs      RIDING CLUB HORSE/PONY CHAMPIONSHIP
approx      For 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 16 and 17. Challenge trophy to Champion.

Class 19      Mountain and Moorland. Ridden.
13.00hrs      Open to registered & unregistered, pure & part bred horses/ponies.

Class 20      Novice Riding Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh. Competitors may not enter Class 20
14.00hrs      Horse not to have been placed 1st or 2nd in a Riding Horse class. Judge may ride each horse.

Class 21      Riding Horse. Exceeding 14.2hh. Competitors may not enter class 19
15.00hrs      Judge may ride each horse.


15.45hrs      RIDING HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP
approx      For 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 19 & 20. Challenge trophy to Champion.

Class 22       Ridden Coloured Horse/Pony.
16.00hrs      Open to colours, palominos, spots, roans and duns. Any height.

RING 4            STARTS 09.45 hrs
Class 23      MINIMUS JUMPING (entries to be made on the day – entry fee £2.50 per round, payable at ringside)
09.45hrs       to 10.45hrs      Max height of fences 30cm (1’0”)
10.45hrs       to 12.00hrs      Max height of fences 60cm (2’0”)
                  One round against the clock, competitors may enter up to a maximum of 4 times

Class 24      GYMKHANA (entries to be made on the day – entry to all five races is £3.00 in total, payable at ringside, 13.00hrs points awarded per race, rosettes awarded for overall points accumulation)

Age groups: a) lead rein (12yrs and under), b) 12yrs and under (off lead rein), c) 13yrs and over
(ages as at date of event)
