Flu vaccinations – please ensure your vaccinations adhere to these rules, you (and possibly your team) will be eliminated if they do not.
The horse or pony must have been vaccinated against equine influenza by a veterinary surgeon who is not the owner of the animal, in accordance with the following rules:The horse or pony must have received a primary injection followed by:• a second primary injection which is given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days after the first• a first booster injection which is given not less than 150 days and not more than 215 days after the second primary injection

• further annual booster injections at intervals of not more than a year apart.

If the current vaccination programme started AFTER 1 January 2016:

• the first two primary injections must be correct i.e. the second given between 21 and 92 days after the first

• the first booster must be given between 150 and 215 days after the second primary injection

• all annual boosters must be correct.

However, any errors with first booster (which should be given 150 – 215 days after the second primary injection) or annual booster given BEFORE 1 January 2016 may be ignored provided that:

• the first two primary injections are correct i.e. the second given between 21 and 92 days after the first

• all annual boosters given AFTER 1 January 2016 are correct.

In order to compete a horse must be vaccinated in accordance with the above rules and MUST also have had a vaccination within 1 year of the competition and/or entry to competition stables.

Withdrawal Policy – once accepted for a team you must pay your entry fee prior to close of entry date.


SWDRC Team Withdrawal Policy
Once a member has received confirmation of a team place from a team manager, we are unable to refund any team contributions paid under any circumstances, other than a replacement being found, and any unpaid fees must still be paid. SWDRC reserve the right to prohibit anyone with any outstanding fees owed to the club from participating in future Team events or attending Clinics.

SWDRC Team Contribution Policy 

Once a team place is confirmed team contributions should be paid by the date requested by the team manager. Team contributions not paid on time may be liable to an increased late entry charge.

SWDRC Team Championship Policy 

Should a team qualify for a National Championship, SWDRC reserve the right to withdraw and/or replace any original team member for the Championships whose performance at Area level was below that which is required to compete at National level.

SWDRC Team Championship Entry Fee Policy   

Should a team qualify for a National Championship, SWDRC will endeavour to pay the Championship entry fees. However, due to the unprecedented success of the club’s teams in recent years this arrangement may be subject to review and team members may be asked to make a small contribution towards Championship entry fees to ensure teams remain financially viable for the club.
